For Slovak entrepreneurs, the Czech Republic is a natural first step abroad. Company law is similar to Slovakia’s, there is no language barrier and a Czech company opens direct access to a larger market within the EU.

The most common form is a limited liability company, which can be set up with very low share capital. The founding document must take the form of a notarial deed, and the company keeps its accounts and pays taxes under Czech rules.
